Alys is joining the Institute through the Civil Service Fast Stream where she was previously working at Defra with a focus on Floods policy. Since graduating from the University of Leeds in 2019, Alys completed a Masters in International Development and Gender Studies at SOAS, followed by an internship at the UN Refugee Agency (UNCHR) working with the Global Goodwill Ambassador Team.
In her spare time, Alys enjoys reading, swimming, and sampling London restaurants with friends.
