Knowledge Exchange Series No. 3: Engaging the supply side of capital and responding to investors needs

As part of the Institute’s Knowledge Exchange Series we run a series of roundtables with National Advisory Boards (NABs) on impact investing in other countries, which provide a platform for mutual learning and practical knowledge sharing between NABSs to help strengthen impact investing markets globally. Topics include governance and sustainability, understanding supply- and demand-side opportunities as well as working with local investors and capital providers.

While the roundtables are open to NABs only, we publicly share a summary of each discussion. You can find the summary for the last Knowledge Exchange Series covering governance and sustainability below.

The third session of the Knowledge Exchange Series explored the role of NABs as market navigators. The discussion focused on how NABs can engage with and strengthen their value proposition for the supply-side of capital (including investors, asset managers and asset owners) – and featured an intervention from BlueOrchard Finance, a leading impact investor.

Global NABs and other market-building organisations shared experiences of identifying and responding to investors’ needs and teased out peer advice in dealing with practical situations.
