Hughie joined the Impact Investing Institute in July 2022 as Relationships Coordinator, working to deliver the Institute’s fundraising and development strategy. In October 2024, he took up the role of Programme Coordinator, working across the Institute’s Challenge Lab and focussing on the Institute’s just transition finance programming. He has been Programme Manager since January 2025.

Hughie graduated from the University of Bristol with a first-class degree in Modern Languages with distinction before returning to London to train and work as an actor & theatre-maker. In the years impacted by the COVID 19 pandemic, he turned his attention outwards from the performing arts to the political and economic urgency of our climate transition; involved since 2020 with an arts campaign group, an NGO reporting on socio-environmental issues in Latin America and a national climate movement. He is motivated to bring his varied experiences together within a single focus: to bring together people, their communities and their stories with the biggest levers for change towards an equitable and sustainable future.

A keen cyclist and forever arts lover, he spends his spare time either taking off into Epping Forest on a bike or taking in London’s live music & art scene.
