Laura is the Chief Financial Officer at BBRC, a place-based impact investor and fund manager operating across the South West of England, with a mission to improve the wellbeing of people, local communities and the environment. BBRC works with partners to build resilient communities and deliver greater productivity, reduce inequality, increase affordable housing, and support sustainable growth. Since Laura joined in 2019, BBRC has raised and placed over £70m of impact investment into the South West region.
Laura is a Chartered Accountant with a background in banking and financial services, including working in investments and insurance at Nationwide Building Society. She has over 20 years experience working in finance, having started her career in audit at BDO.
She has been a trustee of a number of small charities, and was recently recognised in the South West Finance Director Awards as ESG Champion 2025.
