Steffi leads on the Institute’s external engagement strategy in support of the Institute’s wider organisational goals.
She oversees the Institute’s external engagement and communication activities and channels, including content creation and media relations.
Prior to joining the Institute, Steffi worked for international humanitarian organisations, in Germany, the UK, Jordan, Lebanon, Syria, Turkey, and Iraq, where she set up two communications departments for the German relief organisation Welthungerhilfe.
Steffi started her career in journalism at the Associated Press in London and has experience working in print, online and broadcast journalism.
In her free time Steffi enjoys cooking, reading and writing.
